This web portfolio encapsulates custom contemporary design/build work from tangible to virtual, from micro-scale to large, ephemeral to permanent. It displays multi-disciplinary design in architecture, interiors, and functional art with the aim of transforming ideas, however improbable, into realizations. Experimenting and exploring new techniques or strategies within different contexts further raises the project's potential. Design Insight's aspiration is to unravel a delicate battle of design extremes; whether it be art and architecture, curvilinear and crystalline, form and function, or humanity and technology. These passionate ends of the spectrum, if counter-balanced well, can effortlessly meld to create honed, mature products and environments.

Passion for design at its purest, and generation of the most powerful, memorable designs are what propel this work forward. What is more gratifying for a designer that to improve, invent, and inspire; to create freely and transcend banal necessity to lasting originality? There is something quite moving about a design that attains grace and ruggedness. A sense of mental and physical freedom exudes from this body of work. The author, the individual and the group can reflect on this and hopefully smile at its creative core.

These goals are pursued through relentless thinking, drawing, and fabrication at the highest craft level. Challenging norms by using high technology, eco-recognition, and modern materials, keeps the design work on the edge. It also has universal capacity via the concept of "design accessory". Much like a piece of jewelry, this allows furniture and architecture to complement and enhance most spaces and sites. Through ingenuity that attempts to defy physics, our work touches the horizon gently. Respect for history, community, site, earth and colleagues (among others) allows this portfolio to humbly evolve with responsible whimsy and subtle sophistication.
