Lucite Lights

Beacon: This 5 ft. tall sculptural floor light used exposed wiring as part of its aesthetic. Interchangeable colored tubes make this an interactive and versatile art piece. Materials include a stainless base and brushed acrylic.

Cantilever: The concept was to create a shelf and a light. It is composed of laminated lucite and stainless tubes. The light hangs from one stud off a wall and then the actual light fixture cantilevers from the support posts.

Willow: This was one of DII's first pieces and required a high level of craft and fabrication. There are roughly 300 individually cut brickettes within the light diffuser, emulating a tree. A simple aluminum tube and base house the cord and hold the light fixture.
